Gracie Days

What I failed to mention in last night’s post -  Letter to Eli – I now have the opportunity to spend some quality time with my little Gracie – one on one.  Something I’ve not had the opportunity to do until today.

Right now, Gracie and I are spending the morning playing with dishes, making pudding (pretend) and her’s and Daddy’s favorite – gravy and biscuits.  Mmmmm good!  This afternoon she just told me she wants to go outside and play ball.  Definitely, my girl!

I have to admit I was a little sad when Eli left for his first day of preschool this morning but about an hour later Gracie made it “all alright”…

Gracie and I were sitting on the bed watching a few minutes of Clifford (one of her favorites and hey, it’s a special day so a little extra TV time is ok).  Anyway, as I’m gently scratching her back she stops watching and immediately leans over, gives me the biggest hug and in an ever so gentle voice says “Dad… You’re the best Dad ever!”  No, I’m not making this up. I can’t help but think the good Lord was watching over us this morning and gave me that priceless moment.  Blessed indeed!

So I’m off now to go play with my little angel.  Have a great day!
